Mr. Dev Raturi, also known as “德福,” is an accomplished Indian actor and entrepreneur in China. He is the founder and brand ambassador of the Redfort Group and Amber Palace Indian Cultural-themed Restaurant located in the Xi’an, Shaanxi of China. Mr. Dev started the Redfort and Amber Palace in September 2013 to provide a superior dining experience combined with the authentic taste of Indian culture. This is the first Indian-themed cultural restaurant in China that is raved about in various media channels like Discovery Channel, CCTV 2, CCTV 4, Shaanxi TV, Travel Channel, and many more. His restaurants aren’t just famous for authentic Indian food but are also known for delivering the wholesome Indian experience.
Versatile Actor and Entrepreneur
Apart from his successful life as an entrepreneur, Mr. Dev Raturi has acted in several roles in Chinese films and television series. Dev is also the Overseas Operations Head at UV Films. He has appeared in famous movies and TV series such as “Imprisonment (2019),” “My Roommate Is a Detective (2020),” and “Xing Jing Zhi hai wai xing dong (2021).” As a versatile actor, he has played various roles such as a gangster, doctor, astronaut, and police chief.
Mr. Dev Raturi is living in China for the last 15 years and is promoting Indian culture in China. After living in China for more than 17 years, Mr. Dev developed a passion for the history of the Silk Road. This led him to its origins in Xi’an where he started his own chain of cultural restaurants, showcasing Indian food, yoga, and Bollywood dance. His next goal is to take Chinese traditional culture to India.
The journey of Mr. Dev Raturi is full of hard work, dedication, and a never-give-up attitude. Born in Tehri-Garhwal, Uttarakhand, India, Mr. Dev Raturi first came to Shenzhen in 2005, and with his hard work and sincerity, he is now the CEO and owner of eight Indian restaurants and a yoga studio. Inspired by the Silk Road, Mr. Dev decided to bring his amazing Indian food to Xi’an. Over the years, Raturi has taken part in many action movies, making his Kung Fu dream come true.
