I’m thrilled to have you here on this journey of exploration and connection between two of the world’s oldest and most vibrant cultures. This is a comprehensive project to document and analyze the chronology of “India-China people-to-people and cultural relations from Year 2000-2025” . Who am I?
I’m Kali (Bikash Kali Das), a passionate cross-cultural enthusiast, explorer of the rich fabric that connects India and China and a student of International relations. With a background in India-China cultural studies and international relations, I’ve spent years researching the countries’ shared history, artistic expressions, and people-to-people interactions. My journey began with a simple curiosity about how cultures interact, and it has evolved into a lifelong purpose to celebrate the beauty of India-China relations.

“India-China People-to-People Relations: A Journey from 2000 to 2025“
The year 2000 is marked as the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and China. Over the past two decades, the relationship between India and China has evolved dramatically, characterized by an increase in people-to-people interactions and cultural exchanges. As the world’s two most populous countries with rich cultural heritages, India and China have much to share and learn from each other. This website project aims to chronicle the significant events, collaborations, and stories that have shaped India-China people-to-people relations from 2000 to 2025.
The period from 2000 to 2025 has seen a renaissance in cultural diplomacy, with numerous initiatives aimed at fostering mutual understanding and collaboration. From student exchange programs and cultural festivals to business collaborations and governmental partnerships, the interactions between the people of India and China have paved the way for a deeper and more nuanced relationship.
To understand the significant event, I will be classifying the project in 3 different era’s .The era from 2000 to 2019 has witnessed various developments, such as the rise of digital communication, increased tourism, and educational exchanges. During the COVID pandemic 2020-2022 saw different challenges in India-China people to people bilateral relations. Study of 2023-2025 will provide more study details on the ongoing changes in the bilateral people to people exchanges between India and China.
This project will serve as a valuable resource for researchers, students, policymakers, and anyone interested in understanding the complex and dynamic relationship between these two great nations. By providing a comprehensive and interactive platform, we hope to inspire new generations to continue building bridges and exploring the endless possibilities of India-China collaboration.
My own travel, education, and experiences in India and China inspired the creation of this blog. I’ve had the opportunity to experience directly the warmth of people, the depth of traditions, and the creativity that develops when various cultures interact. There is so much to learn and share, from the timeless appeal of the Silk Road to the modern miracles of cooperative artistic enterprises.
